Water-separating and rust preventive oil "Separl"

It is important to remove the moisture in order to protect the metal from rust. because rust preventive oil can prevent the contact of moisture by the oil film. There are cases that the rust preventive effect is decreased when applying the oil with moisture remaining. Therefore, It is ideal to completely remove the moisture before applying rust preventive oil. 

So, when using "Separl", special additives permeate to metal surface and gaps, and moisture is removed by separating the water molecules from the metal.

Example of use

  • Before plating metal parts, the moisture adhered to metal parts by the acid pickling and the water washing is removed with drying furnace. In such a case, it is possible to simplify the process by omitting the facilities such as drying furnace and drying time because the moisture is separated from metal surface by dipping in "Separl" after water washing.
  • when using the water for cooling in the barrel polishing, the water might be separated with a centrifuge after polishing. However, it is possible that water remains in small cracks, leaks or scratches, etc. In such a case, the moisture is separated from metal surface by dipping in "Separl" after polishing.

Usage and Precautions of Separl

  1. Don’t use the copper and brass products since there is a risk of discoloration.
  2. Use by dipping is most suitable. It is effective when dipped work pieces for 1, 2 minutes while vibrating these.
  3. It will dry naturally in about 1 hour by air-drying after water-separating (Depend on the outside air temperature and environmental conditions).
  4. Rust preventive duration is about 7 days indoors. If more duration is required, please use our rust preventive products.
  5. Please thoroughly wash with water before using "Separl" since the life of a "Separl" will shorten when the moisture of the metal surface is acidic or alkaline, or when  the surfactants and contaminants are remaining on the work pieces after using water-soluble cutting oil, etc.
  6. Please discharge water by attaching an outlet for the water drain since the separated water accumulate to the bottom of the container such as the tank. In addition, The management of the oil is easy and economical when separation status from the outside can see.
  7. Please seal the container that stores "Separl" after using it.
  8. Please handle by safety methods so as not to adhere directly to the skin. since it may cause skin irritation, etc.
  9. Don't close the fire since it is a flammable liquid.
  10. Please install a general ventilation or local exhaust ventilation in order to improve the working environment.
